Dillion
His smile is wonderful and contagious.
I could look at it for ages.
He has fought many battles
both hard and long.
Yet he faces each new challenge
with great courage and strength to carry on.
He is not a quitter.
He is a fighter!
Some people look at him with pity,
and that he does not need.
I am sure if he could he'd want to say
please look past my disabilities, and see me
See me for the amazing person I am,
and the wonderful things I do.
Don't label me as "Different"
Just because I am not like you.
Yes, it is true I do not talk, and
No, I can not walk
but my friend you see, you are also
"Different" from me.
I am just an average child, and
Yes I do have lots of special needs, but
I beg you to look past all that,
and see all the wonderful things about ME
